I’ve watched Dr. Karthik Narayanan quietly reshape what’s possible for our rural students. No fanfare, no loud headlines, just steady, stubborn work that adds up day after day. He promised his mentor, Padma Bhushan Ajith Kumar, that he would give years to education that truly touches lives, and he hasn’t wavered for a moment.
What I’ve seen isn’t just about lectures or lessons. It’s about hands guiding hesitant hands, about kids who once thought their future didn’t reach beyond their village, now imagining a horizon lined with IAS, IPS, and IFS badges. Dr. Narayanan has become a living example of that belief, that a single, determined person can spark a ripple that becomes a shoreline of opportunity.
He’s got more awards than most of us can count, but what stands out isn’t the trophies. It’s the quiet, stubborn impact—the 100 students who are stepping toward civil services because someone believed they could. The goal isn’t just numbers; it’s dignity, purpose, and a future they can hold in their hands.
Meanwhile Ajith Kumar was there at the very beginning, the lone believer when others doubted the rural upliftment path. Nine years later, the truth is in the results.
“Anbudan” has grown from a handful of learners to a lifeline for over 12,000 students as of 2025 and among them, 47 from the latest batches are already serving in roles that shape our country—Sub-Collectors and ASPs who are making decisions that matter.
This isn’t about making money. It’s about pure service - The kind that asks you to put others first, again and again. Live and Let Live isn’t just a slogan for Narayanan, it’s the way he moves through the world, even when no one is watching.

Ajith, watching from the racing track in Malaysia, can tell you the same - This isn’t a story of one man’s ego. It’s a story about a community that keeps saying yes to possibility. If Ajith Kumar his mentor whom he looks up to can still go at 53 Years for chasing his dreams – Dr Karthik is one such fanboy who follows his vision of New Bharat in making. Ajith said that he treats it similarly to shooting a film on set. "We have a lot of fans around, so we need to learn to switch on and switch off. I have probably been doing it for the last 33 years," the actor said. Ajith Kumar is officially set to compete in the upcoming round of the Asian Le Mans Series ( ALMS )in Malaysia this weekend which has generated a lot of buzz among the motor sports fans. Ajith Kumar Racing, confirming a two car entry will feature a star studded lineup with Car#1 Driven by Ajith Kumar, F1 Veteran Narain Karthikeyan and Julien Gerbi.

And yes, there’s more to do. The journey continues as Dr Narayanan extends his work to the Armed Forces with drone-technology research—an effort born of duty as much as curiosity. Ops Sindhoor showed him that science, when guided by heart, becomes a shield for the nation.
If you ask him what keeps him going, he’ll tell you what many of us feel but seldom say, the best moments aren’t the applause, they’re the quiet, ordinary mornings when a student confides that a dream is real because someone gave them a chance. “If I can do this at 40,” he says “I’ll keep going until the last spark fades, so the next generation learns that life isn’t just about money or fame, but about small steps that can change the world.”
He’s not pretending. He’s not polishing. He’s choosing action, and he’s chosen to stay off the loud platforms to let the work speak. And that, perhaps, is what makes his story feel human, credible, and more than that possible.
